In 2018, the project proposal for Low-carbon Clean Energy Innovative Joint Laboratory for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education passed the expert review. The assessing conference for project approval was held in January 2019, and two months later, the project was approved and entered the argumentation stage.
With the objective of constructing a sustainable high-quality operating international laboratory, the Laboratory conducts research mainly on efficient and clean power technology, distributed energy systems, energy Internet technology, green low-carbon energy system transformation, pollution prevention, and environment protection. Other than that, there are also multiple other sub-research directions. Based on national energy revolutionary strategic demands, the Laboratory will focus on frontier scientific technology issues, major basic science issues, and frontier interdisciplinary research in order to develop progressive, strategic, and pioneering basic research.
