About Tsinghua-Alberta Joint Research Center for Future Energy and Environments
Tsinghua-Alberta Joint Research Center for Future Energy and Environments is approved to be established in July 2017. The Center is committed to fully utilizing the academic advantages of Tsinghua University and the University of Alberta in fields related to energy and environments, establishing an important international academic center for research on global energy and environments. Both parties intend to cultivate students in the field of energy and environments through developing high-quality scientific research activities together, so as to support and provide guidance to national and regional major strategic demands. The Center is mainly engaged in research on critical problems concerned by both parties in energy and environment fields, focusing on renewable energy, smart grid, air pollution prevention, water resource protection and health. The Low-carbon Energy Laboratory of Tsinghua University and the future energy system of the University of Alberta are the cooperating institutes from both parties in fields of energy and environments.
